Douceur du réveil

That's the best time: the first breakfast. I have started a book that I have finished on the same day (amazing)! It is raining today. We are heading to the dead sea this morning.

Les fruits ont un autre goût ici....
J'ai flémmardé toute la journée hier juste pour m'habituer à l'idée des vacances.

Away from Paris

I love Paris.
I have always wanted to live here for as long as I can remember.
But now I also love to fly away from home, to breathe differently elsewhere.
We are leaving for Tel Aviv tomorrow.

On part de l'autre côté de la Méditerranée demain. On fuit pendant une petite semaine l'automne parisien pour le soleil, le sable, la boue de la mer morte, les petits déjeuners parmi les fleurs, les grandes tablées familiales, les salades tomates concombres, le ciel qui rougeoie à 17h00, les sauts dans les vagues.....

Impatiente...

Oops I did it again…

Today is such a busy day. My recording session starts tomorrow, I have yet to receive half of the translations. Actually, I am even still waiting for some videos… So I should have run to the studio just after dropping Solal at school this morning, but... I spent 1 hour walking in the park again.
And now I am spending time on my blog.... I am going to stay in front of my computer real late tonight. But that’s just how I work. I am so much more efficient and fast when I wait until the last minute. How do you work?

20 minutes away from Paris we spent a lovely afternoon with family. It was cold but sunny. We ate the cake with our coats on, so happy to enjoy the garden and the rays of light after this rainy week...

I love the colors of fall, I just wished we would have a little more sun.
I took these, this morning, in les Buttes Chaumont.
Taking pictures is always a great way to start the day: I feel more relaxed afterward.
And it is so nice to start working knowing that I already had some private time of my own. It makes it easier to run during the rest of the day.

Rosa Bonheur is a very funny place opened at night when les Buttes are closed. The security guard will let you come in only if you go to Rosa.
My friends surprised me there with a really nice birthday party last year. Sweet memories....

Gourmandises

Après 10 mois d’abstinence totale en sucre, j’ai décidé de m’accorder une douceur hier... Mais quitte à manger du sucre, je ne voulais pas avaler n’importe quoi. J’ai donc entraîné Solal dans le Marais et je suis entré dans cette pâtisserie devant laquelle je m’étais déjà arrêté souvent: le pain de sucre. La vitrine est une merveille. J’avais très très très envie de goûter à leur tarte pistache framboises: un pur délice. J’ai pris une tartelette aux figues pour David et des macarons pour Solal. Un goûter de rois!

I have been sugarless for more than 10 months. So when I decided to treat myself with some pastry yesterday, I wanted a really good one. I went to that place in the Marais: le pain de sucre. Their window is already a poem. I tried their pistachio-raspberry tart: amazing! I also took a fig tart for David and macaroons for Solal. What a wonderful snack!
Oh... And there is another picture here of course.

Sous les bois

Autumns is back. It is cold and damp in Paris.
But we are lucky, lucky, lucky.... In three weeks, we take off again.... Can't wait!

In sickness and in health.
I don't think I have heard those vows during our city hall wedding.
Yesterday, it was our 9th anniversary.
9 years, and almost 8 years since MS has invited itself into our lives.
In sickness and in health, for better and for worse, we stick together.
It often makes me real sad, sometimes even angry.
Yesterday, it made me proud.
