We have been to La Villette today: straight lines, geometric shapes, white skies....

Corner View: Style

Photobucket

Simple ice skater skirt and tight wool top: this is more or less my every day way to dress in winter.

We saw the sky today and baked a bunch of cookies.
Tomorrow is a big day!

Let's not go out in the wind, the rain and the grey.
Let's cuddle up in our den.

Risotto

Photobucket

Photobucket

I came back home pretty late with a craving for risotto. I fixed my favorite one: a leeks risotto with cherry tomatoes roasted in balsamic vinegar.

Thank you all so much for your sweet comments!! They really mean a lot to me!

To reply to your questions: the menu of our Sunday Brunch was composed of raw vegetables salad (the Israeli way to cut vegetables in tiny cubes completely changes the taste of it), eggplant salad, houmous, tarama, fish mousse, smoked salmon.

Corner View: Holiday

This is my first corner view.
The idea of Jane is so great! I am really happy to participate.

David and I are a mixed couple. We do celebrate most of the Jewish holidays but the only Catholic holiday we really celebrate is Christmas.
At this time of the year, I usually have long talks with Solal about his two different cultures. I want him to be aware of his mixed origins and of the richness of them.

Sunday Brunch

Because we wish we were in Israel, we prepared an Israeli Brunch today.
Sometimes, somehow, salads feel warmer than soup...

Icy

Photobucket

When I go out every morning, my eyes are crying, some kind of reaction to the air I guess. This morning I had the feeling that tears were turning to ice on my cheeks.

Somebody told me, quite correctly, today, that the end of the decade was not until 2011.
But it feels like it, doesn't it? Like it feels that September is the beginning of the year.

Mood

Photobucket

I am feeling a bit nostalgic these days... Probably the end of the decade.
