Paris architecture

My favorite things in Paris are the roofs.
I wish we could live higher and see just roofs... But I think I should not complain, this is what we see from our living room window.

Groovin' on a Sunday afternoon

This week end has been so so....
This disease drives each one of us crazy from time to time...
But Sunday afternoon was lovely. Sweet Peanut and Marie Dee joined us in les Buttes Chaumont.
So all I want keep in mind today is:
The irresistible smile of Arthur
The short bread Gaia made: so delicious!
The football game of Solal and David
The bright and happy colors of our brand new diabolo
The little voice of Arthur calling me “Belle”: I am melting...
The peaceful rest of Federica after she ate
The last birthday present that David had: a box of macaroons Ladurée (we are so going to help him eat these;))

Asparagus and cherry tomatoes quiche

Marion has a great blog! And great finds!
Thanks to this post, I discovered Xavier Encinas and his blog. He gave me a bunch a new ideas and I cooked this.
I did not follow the recipe, I never do. Mine is with ricotta.
My version still needs some improvements. Next time, I will cook cherry tomatoes in olive oil beforehand with garlic.

For Kristina: first recipe.

Kristina suggested today on Flickr that I start a little series on my blog with my everyday food.
It is kind of a challenge;) I found it difficult to talk about food (especially in english) and really hard to take good food photos.

Anyway, here is my first post: linguine with cherry tomatoes and rucola.
I first start to cook cherry tomatoes in olive oil with chopped garlic. I add after a few minutes balsamic vinegar that I let reduce.
My favorite pasta for this dish is green tagliatelle, but all I had tonight was linguine.
When the pasta is cooked, I put them together with tomatoes, rucola and parmigiano. I sprinkle with crushed pepper.
So simple and quick and yet delicious ;)

One of my favorite food blog is Amuse-bouche for two. I love how they talk about cooking and how the all process and so happy and sensual.

We live in a very typical Parisian building "pierre de taille", on the 4th floor.
