Night shots

Dinner with friends at home and first night shots with the new camera.
I like soft lights, so I was afraid the photos would be very dark, but they did not turn out too bad (I use 400 film). I am still experimenting here.
I am so happy to leave in a few weeks. I really feel like I don't feel very inspired lately.

Such a huge crush!!!!

I have received my Pentax K1000. I never had such a huge crush on a camera!!!
I just love everything about it. I understand Ida when she said she got addicted to the sound of the shutter.
Here are some of the first shots, unintentional shades of green.

I wish you a very sweet weekend (ours is supposed to be rainy).

Happy Birthday la Marseillaise!!!!!!!

Happy Birthday Marion!!!!

She is the first blog friend I met in real life!!!

Her blog is a constant source of inspiration! She is sweet, pertinent, funny and so cute. She takes great photos with Georges. She made me discover Oh!Tiger Mountain (I love la tradition dominicale!). And cherry on the cake, she is marseillaise!!!!

Diana mini last crazy shots

I picked up the last roll this morning: here are a few photos. Some are completely crazy, some just weird double exposure... I think I like the first and the last ones.
Diana mini and I needed a break anyway, so she went on vacations to Mary Poppin's place (yep, she baby sits cameras too;))
I have been on ebay a lot lately, tried to get a Praktika MTL3, a Rolleiflex, a Yashica. I lost all these auctions, but the good news is (roulement de tambour) that I got a Pentax K1000 with 3 lenses and should receive it by the end of the week! Yay!!!!!
Can't wait :)

PS: Thanks for all the comments! The tea is instant cinnamon Turkish tea (present of MP, as well as the tea cup, the saucer and the bowl!!)

Listen to a French song!

Saturday pola

I had one color photo left in my polaroid camera, and then I tried again the silvershade films of the impossible project. I don't get these films at all.... Most of the time the photos are overexposed (I increased the contrast on some of these and threw away the others). Leila takes wonderful photos with the same films. What I am doing wrong?

Solal wanted to go the Louvre today: we spent two hours in the Egyptian antiquities department. He had a blast. Tomorrow, he wants to go Disneyland:) Le grand écart: that's one of the things I love about him. He can spend hours reading but loves video games. He listens to David Bowie, The Beatles, Mozart and loves Michael Jackson songs too. He is very much a 8 year old kid and has a consuming wonderful curiosity about arts, music, plays (he saw "midsummer night dream" 2 years ago and loved it so much, he decided he wanted to be an actor).
I am, en toute objectivité bien sûr, so crazy about him. Can you tell?

Favorites of the last roll

Thank you so much for your tips (keep them coming:))!!!

To reply to Suzie (visit her blog, if you haven't so far: she takes beautiful photos!), my relation with my diana mini camera is a bit chaotic. I never know how the photo is going to turn out and though it can be fun it is also a bit frustrating. I am actually on the market for another film camera. I am looking for my "Georges". I'd love to get one before leaving for the States: any recommendations?

And the destination is....

These were taken on our way back from the Alps.

So.... I have the plane tickets!

First, let me tell you that I work for the best company ever and for the very best boss.

I was meant to work a few days in our LA offices for a while, but never been able to make it for family reasons. I was obviously a bit sad and disappointed about it: it was very interesting professionally, I have never been on the west coast of the USA and one of my very dear friend lives there.

Well, they figure out a way for me to go and they arranged everything. I will leave during school holidays and will bring Solal along with me.

Basically, at the end of October, I will land with my son in San Francisco for a week of vacation, than head to LA to spend the weekend with my friend before starting to work.

This is so exiting. I just can't wait!!!

This is where I need you now;) Any tips, recommendations???
