June 14
Fuji Superia 400
As you might have noticed, I haven't posted for more than a week. First, the last try with the Canon A-1 has been more than disappointing: the whole roll was under-exposed. I am so done with this camera! I think I also needed to take a step back.
I spent a lot of time in photo books and magazines watching the work of great photographers. BTW, the last issue of Polka is so interesting.
The old Praktica, I have used for these, has no light meter: it is good practice, very challenging.
I am not fond of the last photos I took but I still want to persevere.
PS: I just realized that during this week of silence, this blog turned 3 years old. I did not even celebrate. Well, I guess it's not too late ;)

Belle journée,

lovely images! i like your blog header a lot - simple and beautiful!
Oh tu nous as manqué! Trois ans! plus grand que Petit Caramel! Incroyable. Félicitations ma belle et heureuse de voir tes couleurs, tes douceurs de nouveau.
Congratulations to 3 years old blog. Please continue, your photos are always so adorable. I come at any time by you.
It is never to late to celebrate, congratulations on your 3 years of blogging. I enjoy visiting.
So much to comment on here, so ….deep breath!
Firstly, I really did wonder where you had got to and was even starting to worry a little (sad I know!) SO relieved to have you back, I had really missed you and your beautiful photography.
Also, it is interesting what you say about the Canon. As you know I've been fretting over mine and I've now decided it is lovely to use but the results are soooo mediocre, I won't bother too much with it.
Then there's the Praktica; I love these cameras! I'm lucky mine does have a really accurate lightmeter but my manchild uses one without and he's very happy with it. The Pentacon lenses are so beautiful; Problem is the noisy shutters tend to frighten animals and small children :)
As for your photos, they are beautiful, you have no need of a light meter!
And finally, my dear friend Bonne Annif!! Bises >.<
Wow. 3 Years of continuos blogging isn't easy. Congrats and looking forward to more.
Congratulations on 3 yrs of blogging!
congrats on three years! that's a long time :)
good to see you posting again too - i know i hardly ever leave a comments anymore, but i'm always here reading your post and admiring your photos. :)
happy birthday little blog :) it's so frustrating when cameras don't work for you. that fruit and veg looks delightful!
those colors turned really pretty
Ah, enfin...
BONANNIVERSAIRE alors !!!
wouah, 3 ans...
yes, i was thinking of you, and missing your posts... happy anniversary to your blog of 3 years! (i missed my blog's 1st anniversary... such is life.)
I know you said you were disappointed with these photos, but I think the colors look amazing.
Congrats on your 3rd year of blogging!
I also find that with my Pentax K1000 which has a broken meter, I am more challenged to learn than with my other cameras. I hope you and your new camera get along well. :)
happy bloggoversaire!
i have favourite and not so favourite cameras too. for two of them (my nikkormat and the pentax) i have to manually adjust the iso, so they don't over- or underexpose. it's easier than manually correcting every shot. for the nikkormat i have to set the iso at 100 when shooting with 200 film, with the pentax it's the other way round. weird. but it helped once i figured that out. it may be something that happens to vintage cameras, that the light meter is off by one aperture.
setting this correction works for me anyway...
and don't let this get you down: it's always so lovely to see your photos!
3 ans ???? Doudiou !
Merveilleux !
I've had with the Canon A-1 too. Mine is still working but only on Tv mode, and the shutter sound just annoys me.. I'm not ready to give up on Canon yet, but would be nice to try a Praktica :)
Joyeux bloganniversaire! And many more to come!
Cheers! My blog also turned 3 in June. Our blogs must fall under the same sign of the zodiac.
3 years! Great!
Congratulations!
And never is too late to celebrate.
Congratulations with your 3 years!
