En route vers le lac du Pontet

I got all the films back today.
I was expecting so much of these photos that at first, I have been a bit disappointed, thinking that I might be better at capturing details than landscapes.
But watching them over and over again, I am starting to like some of them.
Either way, it was certainly a good exercise to step outside of my comfort zone.
So I guess you might see a lot of mountains, fields and torrents during the next weeks.

Back!!

Hi guys, we are back!!!

As always (ALWAYS!!!), the trip to come back has been much longer than planned (an accident on the train, blablabla...). But we arrived safely at home!

The boys were so happy yesterday night to be in their den. And me... Well, I keep thinking about the mountains of things I have to do.

I have been up since 5:00 AM but don't dare to move around the house just yet because every body is asleep. Meanwhile, I approved some photos for being, posted some diptychs on colors of the week, and went through some blogs. I have been almost completely disconnected for the last week, and not much online during the previous 2 weeks: it seems that I will never be able to catch up... Well I guess I might eventually, and it's ok if I don't.

On Monday morning I will drop by a dozen of rolls to the lab. I have been using Ektar 100 for the Minolta, Fuji Superia 400 for the Zenit and Ilford HP5 400 for the Pentax.
Can't wait to see how they turned out!

I hear some move in the next room: time to cuddle!

Palais Royal

Remember this post of Marion? It was so funny! As soon as I saw it, I sent her the same photo I took a few weeks before. We took the exact same photo without being with each other. The only difference is that we did not use the same film (or the same camera).

It feels a bit funny to post Paris photos when I am among the mountains. We are so lucky: the weather is glorious and I am taking a lot, a lot of film photos which I will get developed when we will be back.

The only upsets are that I took only 6 rolls of Ektar 100 and I only want to shoot with this film.... And also the battery of my Pentax K1000 is dead, I did not find a new one yet in the little villages we passed through.

Oh by the way, I brought 4 cameras with me: Minolta SRT303, Zenit E, Pentax K1000 and Canon EOS 40D (for colors of the week)

August

Work has been crazy these past few days.
On Saturday, we will leave Paris for a three weeks holidays in the Alps.
On Saturday, we will see him. After 5 weeks of separation, I miss him so much that it hurts physically.
I won't be here much but might post a few images.
Colors of the week will be updated on regular basis though.
