We started a new temporary photographic collaboration with Marie* and opened a blog for it.

La mère et l'enfant

On a previous post, I told you about this new series I wanted to start with Alma.
Here are the first test shots.

This is a series about the mother and the child.
Ever since, I gave birth to my son, I am completely fascinated by this bond. I can't put words on this incredible, intense, selfless, unique relationship.
I would like to photograph couples of mother and child whether the child is a baby or an adult. I can still remember how my grand mother was looking at my father: so much love and tenderness; and how happy she was when he was taking her hand.
It probably will not be easy, but I would be really happy if once in a while, I could capture just a glimpse of this relationship.

I knew I wanted to start the series with Alma, but I did not have any idea in mind. It was a rainy, gray day.
The beautiful daughters of Alma are not babies anymore, they are two effervescent, lively little girls who obviously did not want to sit quietly while I would try to find the good light, the good frame and focus my camera.
So it has been challenging, interesting and formative. I loved this photo shoot.
It was our first try, we will do it again soon.

I love shooting the people I love.

J'aime par dessus tout les portraits, photographier ceux que j'aime, capturer des moments de vie.
Tania est si belle et elle ne le sait vraiment pas. Je lui ai un peu volé ces images, mais elle aime ce qu'elles disent d'elle.

Rainy Sunday

Another rainy day. We will stay at home all Sunday. I think I am going to cook a gratin dauphinois. What are you up to?

Saturday

Solal will be back in a week (yes I am counting down days!).
But today I won't be sad because I am doing a few of my favorite things: taking photos and spending time with Alma.

In the mood... for doing nothing, playing around with the computer. Next vacations are in August....
Pas envie de bosser, envie de glandouiller tout en jouant sur photobooth, envie de rentrer à la maison, de dormir, envie de cuisiner pour la p'tite bouffe entre potes de ce soir.
Suis pas follement productive aujourd'hui....

On the last photo, there is my new cup, present of my son. Needless to say, this is my favorite cup ever.

Un petit tour dans mon sac

That's what is inside my bag:
Ipod, Iphone, oversized wallet, sunglasses (kind of silly because I live in Paris and it is always gray), at least one camera (more often 2 and sometimes 3), my make up kit, my son’s and my passeport, film rolls, some jewelery (this one is my owl bangle), a book which I never have time to read. Sandra Juto’s wrist worms and tissues.

Quand le soir tombe

I love the packages I receive with the mix CD!!! They are all wonderful and make me smile! But I feel very bad too because I ran out of postcards and time and basically just sent the CD with the list of songs. I promise to do it again soon and to send you much nicer packages (even your envelopes are beautiful!!!). I just have to plan this when I have a little bit more time (if it ever happens ;))

Solal left for 2 weeks of vacations today and even though I know it's great that he can spend time with my parents in the Alps, I am sad.
