It was Merlin's, 5 years old, first brunch. He did not know the word and called it "la brounche".
Our little gang from Marseille loved the neologism ans adopted it.
La brounche was delicious. Among what we had:
brillat savarin à la truffe (I could have eaten the whole cheese)
artichaut à la barigoule (recipe of the south of France with artichokes)
