Oh c'est si joliment dit.Ma mamie me manque énormément, surtout ces derniers temps...
Lovely. Great that you share your passion for cooking with your grandmother. The love of cooking and eating is a good thing.
Wow, it make´s me quiet. Lovely colours and a lovely thought...thank you!
How valuable cooking wisdom is... it seemed to have skipped me but luckily my husband has it :^)Love the photo - hands are sometimes the most expressive feature...
Cooking as an act of love, I try to remind myself of this every time I step into the kitchen. You have beautiful hands.
good post, good photograph.
beautiful.I wish I knew my grandmother well to know what she may have left me. It is nice to know where you came from.
what a nice heartwarming post....I didn't get any visible from my grandmother, like her face or hands....but I think I carry many things in me from her...and just the other day it happens that I talked to her on the phone and agreed so much with her that I needed to write it down as sort of a note I would like to remember ...
I loved my grandmother's cooking. A particularly poignant memory was one of the last meals she made in her home, before she wasn't able to do this anymore. I'll never forget it because I remember thinking how special it was -- 4 generations of females, my baby daughter, myself, my mother and my grandmother. She was pretty old and frail then, but she was so proud and happy to make us dinner.
What a nice connection with your grandmother. I often find daily cooking just a chore I can't get too excited about. How much nicer to view it as an act of love.
I have the exact same hands as my mom, it's strange and comforting at the same time ;-)
Un bel héritage !
And such a hand, your own, your grandmother's - beautiful.
I have my mother's thumbs. The wrinkles in the creases and the size are exact copies. It's a lucky thing I think.
what a beautiful post. - my hands resemble my mum's more and more. sometimes that's too weird. :)
Whenever I see my hands, I see my Mum's so clearly in them. It is a comfort.
