Trine

During its first year, my blog was read only by my friends.

Trine was the first person, that I did not know personally who started following and leaving comments.
At the time, she was spending holidays in Denmark and I was in Israel, where she lives with her husband and her three little boys.

I have always been moved by the honesty of her photos. She talks so genuinely about her life: her difficulties and her joys.

She came 4 days in Paris and stayed at l'Amour. My office is right across the street. So, on her very birthday, we had drinks together.
And she is everything I expected her to be: sweet, deep and sincere.

Le joli mois de mai

Kodak Ektar 100

I love the light, the rosé, the salads, the sandals, the picnics, the bare feet in the grass, the brunches, the long dresses.
What are you favorite things about May?

L'inventaireuse et Georgette

Kodak Ektar 100

And I was lucky enough to take a photo with Georgette:)

Vis à vis

Kodak Ektar 100

Last week, Marion was in Paris. We had lunch, chit chat, took photos and laughed.

Marion's photo is here:)

Chouette lundi

kodak portra vc

When I woke up, I decided that today was going to be great. The sun is shining and I just watched this short movie via Leila.

Personal Challenge: books

Ötli asked me for the challenge if I liked books , and if so if I could take photos of some.
I love books. For the past few years, I have been mainly reading novels in English (the first one I read when I was 15 was "Wait until spring Bandini"and since then, I've always adored John Fante's work). I guess the first goal was to improve my written English (not sure it is that conclusive) but now I really just enjoy reading the original words of an author rather than a translation.
I love children books too. They are amazing, and although my son is too grown up now, I keep on reading and trying to find new marvels. The illustrations of these are all so different and fantastic.
And of course there are the photo books......

PS: these cards via Marion crack me up!!!

Personal challenge: first photos

Alma wanted a new banner for her blog.

Marion wanted to see the yellow shoes I had on when we first met.

Loving all your ideas. They feel like a new rush of inspiration. Don't hesitate to add new ones if others come to mind. As said before, it will probably take a while, but I will try to shoot them all (even the strangers ;)).

My street

I am still trying to work out the impossible project films.
Kristina sent me a link to this article, which has been really interesting.

I have been starting to shoot some of your ideas for the personal challenge. I found them all very exciting but I have to admit that some of them scare me a little too: I am sure you know which ones! I will shoot everything on film (so hard to go back to digital), so bear with me. It might be a bit long but I will try to take all the photos!

Personal Challenge

Irene inspired me with this post.
I love the photographic challenges, so I thought this one would be fun!
Is there anything in particular you would like me to take pictures of?
Go ahead! I can't wait to read your ideas :)

PS: right now, I am sipping some wonderful tea that Marion sent me.

His eyes

Most of winter, his eyes were green and gray.
I thought their colors had definitely changed. With the first real sunshine, the blue came back.
When I took this photo, he had waken up for 5 minutes and was having his breakfast (love this crumb at the corner of his mouth).
I think the weekend mornings are my favorite times ever: we take time, chat and cuddle.
I still can't believe how lucky I am to be the mother of this little man.
