Boohoo

You would think I have been through enough to put things into perspective and I would not be so annoyed by a material hitch.
Well, you would be wrong... When I realized yesterday that my 50mm/1.4 lens could not focus anymore, I was crushed. I have been crying like a little girl who just broke her favorite toy.
They are probably going to be able to fix it, but they will keep it during at least 3 weeks: boohoo...
It was really too much for me to cope with, I needed immediate comfort...
So, I bought a new lens. It was probably the childiest thing to do (though I don't think a child could afford it), but it really made me feel better.

So now I have a CANON 60mm/2.8 macro lens!!!
Yay!!!! Here are the first shots: our lunch with Juliette!
I still need a lot of practice, but I have the feeling that, me and my macro lens, we will have a lot of fun together!

Wishing you a happy, sunny weekend!
Music!

sorry & congratulations :). I can totally imagine what you did.
Isn't it funny though to realize how much the photographing means to you? It would be the same for me.

You know what? I think us FOLLOWERS and your macro lens will have a lot of fun! Besides, it's always the best way to comfort yourself to go ahead and buy something that you really want. :)

Oh no, I got hungry again - and I just ate!

Well, sometimes when life is really hard and we've been very brave, we get a present. This is yours, dear Elisabelle! And I'm already enjoying the results!

sorry about the broken lens! I, too, probably would be crying like a little child if my favourite lens was broken (and well, I am even for smaller reasons sometimes..). congrats for the new lens though - i'm sure you must be very excited. :)

I cried actual tears when the camera I had had for 15 years broke with no chance of repair 3 years ago.
And then hubby bought me a sony alpha DSLR, so the world was a happy place again! :)

I completely understand - I did the same thing when I broke my zoom lense a couple of months ago. I cried, and then on impulse bought a 35mm lense :-) Hope you get your 50mm lense back soon, and congrats on the macro lense!
