Grain

Thank you for your comments on the B&W shots! There are more to come. Meanwhile, I had the results back of the Fuji 800 roll that was in the Canon A-1: they are not conclusive. They are awfully grainy, underexposed.

I recently realized that this blog had passed its 500th post.
Here is the first one on June 7, 2008. Not so long ago, but blogging became such a big part of my life that sometimes it seems that I have done it for ever!
At one point, I hid the archives because I had the feeling that my photos had evolved so much that I did not want anybody to see the first posts. Looking back, I don't see what I was so ashamed of.
So the archives are back if anyone wants to have a look....

joyeux 500ème post alors!

wow! 500 posts, and so many photos later :) i am happy i found your blog.

these photos are grainy, but they have a wonderful wintery athmosphere. oh, and you have snow in paris. that's pretty unusual, isn't it?

happy holidays to you and your family.

Well done! Very impressive.

And grain is so beautiful.

Nothing to be ashamed of here, and grain is good, as someone else said, more authentic with an old world feel.

Congrats on 500th post! I'm just over 100 lol
I think the graininess makes these photos extra special. Especially the second photo, it looks like it was taken a long time ago!

I like the graininess, especially in the 2nd photo.

And love your black & white photos of the snow in Paris. Beautiful!

500+ posts WOW!
The grain add such a nice texture to the photos, I like the third one.
I'm enjoying your black and white photos very much, somehow with less color they say much more.

Have a great weekend too!!

I like the grain, I feel it somehow matches the cold air and the season.

Sometimes, grainy photos has also something more manual than perfect ones...it reminds me those hand reveled photos, in laboratory, with red light...trying to find the perfect grain...
They are perfect for me...I took out my old camera with me this weekend...need to go back, to find out myself again.
